Conceived during my Masters in Design through New Materials at Elisava under the influence of Nest City Lab and Pandora Collective, Digesting Data delves into new imaginaries and the concept of degrowth. The journey took me from 3D printing to machine learning and eventually to the realm of data. During this process I recognized the profound significance of data as a phygital material holding unparalleled value in this increasingly data-driven, AI operated world. As we continue to entangle our society with technologically advanced user interfaces, it becomes paramount to prioritize the responsible and ethical utilization of data i.e. AI for humanity rather than profit generation. Digesting Data envisions a future where technology empowers us to reconnect with our roots, spend meaningful time with the land, and nurture our relationships with loved ones. Food became a trans-formative medium, bridging the gap between the digital and the physical realms.
