Olio is a research, design and build studio working across architecture, interiors, materials and cultural projects.

Our work currently moves between Norway, India, Cabo Verde and Mozambique. We connect local knowledge, materials and people with contemporary design.

RESEARCH

We always start with context. We research places, materials and local craft to understand what already exists and what can be built with it.

DESIGN

We work across scales, from architecture and interiors to furniture and events. Our ideas are developed through drawings, image creation and dialogue.

BUILD

We stay on site. Collaborating and working with craftspeople and contractors to carefully bring ideas into the physical world.

COLLECTIVE

We are a small core studio working with a wider network of architects, designers, artists and makers. Each project brings together the right people.

With a background in urban planning and design, and extensive experience in project management and lead, Juliana rethinks futures by bringing people, materials and spaces together.

Sherina cofounder / architect

Born and raised in Hong Kong and trained as an architect in the US and Norway. Sherina brings her international edge and experience from global projects to make our dreams come to life.
